The Director, Human Resources Operations Center (HROC) is responsible for leading an HR shared service delivery model to enable a best in class HR support experience for colleagues. Additionally, this role provides leadership to the planning and implementation of colleague transitions resulting from large outsourcing wins and acquisitions. Through collaboration with the other HR COE functions and HRBP leaders, this role supports the execution of key programs and projects while ensuring ongoing operational SLAs are achieved. With a strong focus on operational effectiveness and continuous improvement, the leader will design and implement workflow enhancements and collaborate with HRIS leadership to ensure efficient and accurate data collection for HR reporting.


  • Leads a team of HR professionals with a strong focus on company values and colleague engagement.
  • Collaborates with HR COE leaders, legal, and other functions to establish superior relationships and service level agreements, as appropriate.
  • Primary point of contact for nThrive HR and the Transformation / Implementation team on large outsourcing engagements.
  • Accountable for developing the HR Playbook, and providing HR project management leadership for end-to-end ‘rebadging’ as a result of outsourcing wins and acquisitions.
  • Supports annual HR programs such as partnering for performance, merit increases, and training initiatives, while ensuring ongoing collaboration with cross-functional teams to support projects and data collection requests.
  • Ensures HR data integrity and accuracy. Oversees maintenance of data and provides ongoing HR analytics reporting.
  • Directs and develops a data collection and reporting process to ensure meaningful metrics are leveraged to manage the service center and to provide reports to leadership.
  • Leads the process of responding to inquiries generated through the AskHR inbox and builds improved workflows supported by technology to ensure achievement of SLAs.
  • Leads the new colleague onboarding process including completion of paperwork, background check, drug screen, credentialing, and entry to the HRIS (Ultimate).
  • Assesses resource usage (people, process, technology) and develops strategic plans for optimization, including the automation of manual activities.


  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in an operations role, preferably in human resources operations or comparable client support function, with at least 4 years of experience in an operations leadership role (e.g. leading a shared services center).
  • Proven knowledge and experience in all areas of human resources, HR operations, project management, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated success designing and executing continuous improvement strategies with measurable results.
  • Experience successfully leveraging technology to automate manual workflows.
  • Experience building and engaging high performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a role that requires cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with HR analytics and data mining within an HRIS.
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products.
