Overview

The HR Strategic Partner is focused on driving business success by providing HR leadership, partnership and support to certain business units within nThrive. This is done by partnering with business leaders and with the HR subject matter leaders of HR operations, talent acquisition, total rewards and enterprise talent development to ensure HR strategy and programs are aligned with business goals while maximizing human capital.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. This includes shaping human capital strategy to meet/exceed the demands of the business.
  • Understand needs of the business unit(s) and processes and the link between HR strategy and business strategy for those areas supported
  • Design and apply change management and organizational development strategies, influence and assist with organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies for specific business unit(s).
  • Align actions to proactively support culture across nThrive. Influence people to enthusiastically work toward goals for the common good with character that inspires trust.   Strive for continuous improvement for self, team and company. Champions efforts in serving our people, clients, business and communities. As a trusted advisor and authentically humble, stays true to values regardless of internal/external pressures.
  • Ensure that HR services are provided as appropriate to internal client needs, identifies new opportunities where HR can add value, and maintains leading-edge knowledge of HR issues. Know the goals and also the big picture view.
  • Understand employee opinions, monitor the effect of business decisions on people, and advise management on addressing employees’ concerns
  • Execute HR programs, policies, and practices so that quality objectives and deadlines are met successfully
  • Facilitate line of sight initiatives to build a high-performing organization aligned with the strategic leadership agenda
  • Provide coaching to assigned leaders and their teams in support of employee development
  • Provide thoughtful leadership guidance by demonstrating understanding of business trends and needs
  • Drive the people processes (performance, development, and career) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
  • Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan as well as participating in functional and cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide input and assist Implementation HR policies and reward strategy to ensure that all reward decisions are fair and objective
  • Build business partner relationships based on trust and credibility.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to leaders and their teams where appropriate
  • Understand employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns
  • Facilitate and maintain strategic sessions/close contact with the greater HR team to work in synchronization with the other business units. This includes partnership with the Centers of Excellence (Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development).
  • Identify and drive the communication and sharing of learning across functions to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Align actions to proactively support culture across nThrive.   • Applies employee relations and employment practices in order to create a positive, ethical, effective work environment. Grows relationships while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to use knowledge about legal and HR processes to solve problems.
  • Ability to develop and use metrics to demonstrate issues and develop the business case for needed changes to align HR strategy with goals, and to assess and justify the performance of HR/business programs. Also, use data to predict talent gaps in advance and provide insights into how talent relates to business goals

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, or related concentration
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a human resources and talent management environment, with proven ability to produce positive results.
  • Preferred Healthcare, Medical or Corporate experience, but we will consider other industries as well.
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products
  • Travel: Less than 25%
