Senior Consultant, Middle Revenue Cycle Transformation Advisory Services, will be responsible for and assist in managing efforts in understanding and responding to client business issues through current state assessment, solution design, and solution implementation. This position is responsible for day to day efforts to accomplish project goals and/or working directly with clients to address their business problems and drive sustainable performance improvement.  The consulting responsibilities will include providing Consulting Services to identify revenue cycle vulnerabilities, to bridge technology and the needs of the revenue cycle and to optimize the use of nThrive revenue cycle products. The Senior Consultant must be able to analyze and present data, communicate clearly and concisely, and work independently.


  • Effectively manages project goals and implementation initiatives to ensure they are completed accurately.
  • Ensure timeline and goals are met by completing assigned tasks and job duties.
  • Collaborates with nThrive leadership and client management to complete assessment and solution design.
  • Adapts to a changing environment and makes qualified decisions.
  • Initiates and builds strong client relationships and advance change management efforts.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of Utilization Review, Utilization Management, Care Coordination, Case Management, Physician Advisory, and Middle Revenue Cycle metrics and provides actionable insights into the data.
  • Develops understanding of UR, UM, Case Management, Care Coordination, Physician Advisory, and Middle Revenue Cycle systems and technology both owned by nThrive and other vendors.
  • Effectively executes the advisory process, including business issue / problem identification, qualification and quantification; collaborative solution design; implementation.
  • Applies critical thought processes in solution design.
  • Tracks project status and communicates and escalates issues as necessary.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and facilitates due diligence process for obtaining additional business.
  • Prepares draft and assists with final version comprehensive and accurate deliverables for executive leadership review.
  • Contributes to sustainable and innovative business processes to support the viability of engagements.
  • Contributes to developing nThrive infrastructure by recommending business processes and software application enhancements to ensure the sustainability of our engagements.
  • Acquires knowledge of nThrive Middle Revenue Cycle tools for assigned functional areas.


  • BA/BS (or commensurate industry experience) in business or healthcare related concentration.
  • 3+ years healthcare operations or middle revenue cycle consulting experience to include Utilization Review, Utilization Management, Case Management, Physician Advisory, or Care Coordination experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry – middle revenue cycle management knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of nThrive products or products and services of competitors preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to actively manage and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables, outcomes, etc.
  • Ability to provide targeted communication (written and verbal) to internal and external constituents.
  • Proven analytical and process redesign skills (problem solving, quantitative, workflow process, etc.).
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and personalities in a team environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • UP to 100% travel, as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Graduate degree
  • InterQual Level of Care Criteria Certified
  • Milliman Level of Care Criteria experience
  • Current Utilization Review or Case Management Certification
  • Project Management experience including creating work plans, budgets, managing budget to actual, and goal setting/benchmarks
