  • Overview

    The Mailroom Clerk will support and assist in various aspects of the operations of the business including but not limited to: copy, scan, file, prepare documents for court, prepare postage, delivery and pickup. The employee will handle time-sensitive material (i.e. confidential, urgent packages), sit in for receptionist as needed, run errands and perform other tasks as assigned.  


    • Download FTP (file transfer protocol) batches from provider organizations and verify all patient information, including demographics, insurance, charge ticket, doctor’s report and scan batches from eBridge
    • Create appointments in the system so Biller can start to register
    • Prep/log to balancing log
    • Efficiently sort mail per instructions, and distribute to departments as needed in a prompt, appropriate and effective manner
    • Ability to manage highly sensitive, confidential documents
    • Alphabetize documents accurately and consistently order/sort in numerical order accurately, to meet departmental needs
    • Consistently and accurately sort, count, and track documents, and maintain files and records in a well-organized, neat, accurate, and efficient manner.
    • Perform other tasks as needed, including but not limited to locating, copying, and correctly re-filing documents or Demand Requests to meet changing department needs
    • Consistently meet department standards for volume and quantity of mail items
    • Consistently meet department standards for accuracy and quality of mail items, faxes, and other inbound documents
    • Sorting, batch, and filing inbound documents to support other departments as needed


    • Prior experience filing, organizing and maintaining highly-confidential files and records in a professional work environment
    • Track record in accurate and timely alpha and numeric data entry
    • Ability to stand and / or move from sitting to standing throughout work day to access various file drawers as needed
    • Able to lift up to 50lbs, move, carry, and store overhead boxes and / or large batches of documents or folders on a regular basis daily
