  • Overview

    The Senior Manager, Software Configuration Management is responsible for department-level configuration management, strategic direction, planning, execution, standards, tracking, risk assessment, and documentation delivery to ensure that configuration management process meet or exceed the expectations of delivery and product teams across the organization.

    • Develops software tools to automate software configuration management functions and reporting.
    • Maintains a broad knowledge of emergent trends in software development platforms, tools, methodologies and their underlying principles.
    • Executes configuration management solutions for various platforms/technologies (.NET, ASP, and Lucee,etc).
    • Defines and manages the branching and merging process for the source code repositories.
    • Manages existing Continuous Integration processes and automation, and adjusts as needed to accommodate changes in team requirements.
    • Ensures that software products meet all prerequisites before releasing software to various environments (Dev, QA, Staging, or Production).
    • Reviews and adjusts the procedure for deploying new software releases in coordination with IT and Product Operations.
    • Automates continuous integration builds using various tools (Powershell, TeamCity and NAnt).
    • Automates and performs Application/SQL database deployments to various environments using various tools (RoundhouseE,SSDT).
    • Provides assistance to Scrum teams to resolve build issues, create and deploy software builds.
    • Ensures that all build and release processes and procedures are fully documented and automated as much as is feasible.
    • Working knowledge of automation tools such as TeamCity or TFSBuild.  
    • Seeks development opportunities above and beyond required training.
    • Supports nThrive’s Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to nThrive’s business practices. This includes: becoming familiar with nThrive’s Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management or nThrive’s Helpline when there is a compliance concern or incident, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and demonstrable awareness of confidentiality obligations.


    • BA/BS in Computer Science or related concentration or equivalent work experience.
    • 7+ years of experience administering source code control tools in an enterprise development environment. Experience with Subversion desired.  
    • 7+ years of experience automating software builds using continuous integration tools. Experience using CruiseControl or Jenkins/Hudson acceptable.
    • 5+ years of experience developing software engineering tools.
    • Experience with automated database deployment tools such as RoundhousE or Microsoft SSDT, desired.
    • Experience automating software builds using scripting languages such as NAnt, PowerShell, Ant, Perl, Python or Ruby.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System.
    • Experience managing multiple live source code branches using a strategy that minimizes merge errors while maximizing flexibility with variable release dates.
    • Excellent Leadership and Mentoring skills as well as excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience in being a technical lead working in or supporting Agile or Scrum development.
    • Experience with Git, Team Foundation Server.
    • Solid knowledge of all MS Office products.
    • Working knowledge of Azure and Octopus Deploy.
    • Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 .
    • Experience with Mercurial, Perforce, or Team Foundation Server.
    • Experience with TeamCity
