  • Overview

    Our Cancer Registrars support the health networks, hospitals, clinical trial/pharmaceutical companies and physician groups that utilize our services to manage the cancer registry, support the cancer program and maintain the cancer registry database and reporting requirements for their organization. With Precyse, you will have the support of more than 135 ODM colleagues across the nation as you support activities to successfully meet the standards set by the American College of Surgeons/Commission on Cancer such as helping to prepare clients for ACoS surveys, conducting medical record analysis, data abstraction and overall data management.

    Responsibilities

    • Initiate and/or maintain follow-up and/or treatment information for all cancer cases in registry in accordance with the Hospital and Commission on Cancer requirements.
    • Assist with case finding if required.
    • Assist in maintaining data quality assurance.
    • Prepare productivity reports as requested by Team Leader.
    • Assist with all other Cancer Program and Registry activities as needed such as abstracting, cancer conferences, follow-up, TNM letters, etc
    • The Oncology Data Support Technician performs clerical support to the Cancer Registry functions as directed.
    • Supports nThrive’s Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to nThrive’s business practices. This includes: becoming familiar with nThrive’s Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management or nThrive’s Helpline when there is a compliance concern or incident, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and demonstrable awareness of confidentiality obligations.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma.
    • Courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
    • Medical records experience preferred.
    • Excellent office skills with knowledge and use of computers.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
