  • Overview

    The Director, Facilities Management is responsible for overall facilities direction for 16 corporate office locations across the US. This role provides management and operational oversight of all nThrive locations to ensure efficient and dependable performance of building equipment, maintenance/repair and related activities while ensuring compliance with industry standards, best practices and applicable codes. This role also manages relationships with multiple property management firms to ensure consistent application and adherence to policies, procedures and security protocols throughout nThrive locations.


     


    The Director, Facilities Management uses a deep understanding of facility operations to plan, develop, organize and implement departmental goals and objectives that result in the administration of uniform policies and procedures across all corporate locations. 

    Responsibilities


    • Manages a team of seven staff members and cultivates collaborative relationships with site leaders across the organization. Directs staff in the performance of their responsibilities in the areas of building, equipment maintenance, office moves, validating compliance with badge access/security and general administration.

    • Directs work activities with those of other departments, outside agencies, and organizations to resolve building maintenance issues.

    • Collaborates with architects and contractors on construction projects and facility modifications.

    • Partners with functional leaders to understand plans for implementing a remote workforce that results in consolidation of office space and potential closure of locations. Orchestrates and facilitates activities related to vacating buildings and modifications to prepare for subleasing.

      • Develops detailed project plans and conduct routine status updates on liquidation of furnishings, termination of equipment leases, service contracts, utilities, etc.

      • Arranges for site clean-up, repairs and all other related activities necessary for vacating and smooth transition of the facility to the landlord.



    • Develops standard operating procedures and implement enterprise-wide protocols for Fire and Life Safety Preparedness. Creates, revises and maintains program manuals, policies, procedures, forms, emergency plans and procedures. Administers programs that educate colleagues and increases safety awareness. Executes routine drills and building evacuation plans.

    • Tracks facility maintenance expenses and route through the approval process for payment.

    • Adept at creating and presenting business cases with sound justification of budget expense needed for capital projects.

    • Ensures compliance to all facility-related duties required as the sublandlord for corporate facilities that have been subleased.

    • Provides direction and leadership to subordinates when problems or emergencies arise and resolves complex service problems; follows up with subordinates and internal colleagues to ensure that projects are completed properly, efficiently and effectively.

    • Operates from an action-oriented mindset to achieve results, prioritize tasks and set team standards and responsibilities. Leads through change and builds consensus when appropriate.

    • Supports nThrive’s Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to nThrive’s business practices. This includes: becoming familiar with nThrive’s Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management or nThrive’s Helpline when there is a compliance concern or incident, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and demonstrable awareness of confidentiality obligations.

    Qualifications


    • High School Diploma.

    • 10+ years of experience in facilities management, corporate real estate and/or property management.

    • Ability to manage multiple assigned projects, client relationships and organize and prioritize time and resources to meet internal and external deadlines.

    • Shows initiative and ability to obtain appropriate results with minimum direction.

    • Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinates and contractors.

    • Knowledge of safety and security protocols appropriate to work being performed.

    • Ability to work in a team setting, drive team results and support change management within the organization.

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicating successes, opportunities and challenges to nThrive leadership and key stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary team as a group leader, facilitator, or a participant.

    • Strong relationship building and strategic partnering skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to maintain grace under pressure in difficult situations.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field of study
