  • Overview

    The Manager, Patient Financial Services Develoment is responsible for designing and devloping training and processes for educational content and for Hospital Billing Professionals. They will have experience with hospital billing and management. 

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop Patient Financial Services training and process educational content for Hospital Billing professionals. Both industry regulatory standards and billing and collections process content.  
    • Demonstration of expertise in the following areas: experienced hospital billing manager proven to successfully oversee financial patient billing requests, records and payments.
    • Exhibits experience with invoices, billing software and updates of database to financial records.
    • Strong plus if have certification in revenue cycle management with one of the following HFMA certifications: Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), or NAHAM certification, certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
    • Ability to create/develop/edit compelling and practical patient financial services courseware in a style that will lead to successful adoption and knowledge transfer in an online environment.
    • Have extensive experience in maintaining and managing a successful hospital based revenue cycle program
    • Have experience providing 1-on-1 and group education to patient financials services professionals, and understanding the unique approaches required to reach them
    • Strong plus if candidate has an aptitude for writing, and editing content.

    Qualifications

    • Extensive experience in education and arbitration of advanced Patient Financial Services
    • Strong background in financial management with experience in review and attainment of best practice billing processes
    • Extensive knowledge of federal and state law and regulations relating to PFS
    • Strong oral and written skills with an aptitude for providing educational content tempered with experience
    • Willingness to work as a team in the areas of thought leadership, curricula design, and media applications
    • Experience with the ICD-10 clinical and administrative transition is a requirement
    • Strong educator/speaker capable of conducting remote webinar or on-site educational sessions, when needed
    • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
    • 5+ years of Healthcare management, such as but not limited to, accounts receivable and payable, clinic or patient management, and marketing/public relations
    • 2+ years of educational courseware/curriculum development experience 

    Preferred Skills

    • Extensive experience in management of revenue cycle and hospital finance/billing a strong plus
