  • Overview

    The Senior Business Analyst interfaces with operational leaders, sales, human resources, finance and accounting resources to report, analyze, and forecast financial data in order to drive business profitability and performance improvement. This role seves as a key leader that participates in the monthly financial close process to ensure invoicing is complete and accurate related to contract and that expenses are appropriately analyzed and reconciled for varying projects. This role also is responsible for contract compliance and oversight related to reconciling actual results/staffing to contract expectations and following up with operational leaders on any variances to ensure compliance. As necessary, the Sr. Business Analyst works with specific operational leaders on sub-reports to ensure they are aligning their operational work to financial KPIs, and pulls and analyzes reports to identify opportunities for improvement.


    • Forecasting: Assists operational leaders with the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process for the assigned function.
    • Analyzes, manages, projects and tracks headcount expense and other operating expenses.
    • Conducts analysis of actual performance versus forecast and budget to identify variance drivers and improvement opportunities.
    • Financial Reporting: Creates and updates budget & forecast reports and analysis for assigned function.
    • Uses financial system (TM1) and Excel to create consolidated reports that demonstrate variances over forecast.
    • Develops and enhances financial reporting.
    • Conducts analysis and produces operational reports and KPIs as needed or requested.
    • Documents key assumptions and unusual items for the month in reporting package for executive leaders
    • Works with executive leaders to better understand exceptions in financials.
    • Generates and analyzes segment specific & consolidated metrics for the organization.
    • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas.
    • Researches and resolves inquiries for assigned functional areas.
    • Provides business leaders with relevant and accurate reporting & analysis to help them make informed decisions.
    • Supports nThrive’s Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to nThrive’s business practices. This includes: becoming familiar with nThrive’s Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management or nThrive’s Helpline when there is a compliance concern or incident, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and demonstrable awareness of confidentiality obligations.


    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
    • 2+ years’ experience in Finance or similar field, providing financial reporting and analysis for an organization with >1,000 employees and $50M in revenue
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround, attention to detail, and quality output
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to nThrive
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and gather information from various sources or stakeholders and synthesize the data into meaningful reports
    • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products with high proficiency in MS Excel
    • Knowledge of, or ability and willingness to learn financial system (TM1)
    • Must be independent and quick independent learner able to produce high quality work with limited oversight or review
    • Amount of travel required: minimal

    Preferred Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or other business related field
    • MBA or CPA
