  • Overview

    The business analyst will be involved in the researching and analyzing product/solution requirements, documenting the requirements, and communicating them at various levels of the organizations with the goal of creating a viable solution. nThrive receives both internal and external requests for enhancements to satisfy client needs and to position itself better in the marketplace.  The job will include QA responsibilities: requiring strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document test procedures, expected results, and defects.


    • Work with product management to research and define product enhancements defined by the government. Document the process and work with development to implement changes
    • Bridge the gap between the end user's non-technical point of view and the developer's technical point of view by documenting complete and accurate user needs and translating user level requirements into a logical design
    • Work with internal clients within nThrive to bridge cross product differences
    • Work hands on with the management and custom development teams to validate that new functionality is meeting the business need
    • Review business requirements and produce thorough, detailed and accurate specifications including examples (when applicable)
    • Understand CMS driven transmittals and how they affect our products
    • Analyze requirements to determine the compatibility of the business needs and existing product functionality, identify gaps between the two and provide input to the user documentation of the new functionalities
    • Develop and follow the project timelines to achieve realistic deadlines defined in the work plan
    • Work with existing scripts and SQL/C# to develop test claims for Beta testing
    • Communicate effectively with Development teams to make sure high level requirements are translated into specific user stories and to work hands-on with the product/solution to validate the deliverable associated with the user stories
    • Embraces the scrum philosophy of change and look for continuous improvement to enhance the quality of our products
    • Supports nThrive’s Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to nThrive’s business practices. This includes: becoming familiar with nThrive’s Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management or nThrive’s Helpline when there is a compliance concern or incident, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and demonstrable awareness of confidentiality obligations


    • Bachelor Degree  
    • 3+ years’ experience in business analysis or 5 years’ experience with healthcare
    • 3+ years’ experience working with Government Federal Registers and CMS publications with respect to understanding Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement is essential
    • 2+ years’ of testing windows based systems
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to take complicated or complex information and present it in a logical and concise manner
    • Analyzes business needs and explore functional or technical solutions to meet those needs
    • Experience working on multiple projects at varying stages
    • Demostrated ability to work within and contribute to workflow processes
    • Capable of working with multiple groups of both internal and external individuals
    • Experience troubleshoot testing inconsistencies with clients

    Preferred Skills

    • Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Administration 
    • Experience in Agile Development model
    • Experience Project Management
    • Experience with modern programming languages (C#, Java)
