  • Overview

    You will be responsible for applying Agile and SDLC QA methodology to verify and validate our industry leading Patient to Payment technology suite. This is accomplished through the creation and execution of detailed test plans and test cases in order to test and log defects against enterprise, web-based applications. This position requires strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to extensively document test procedures, expected results, and defects. Experience working in a forward-looking, fast paced environment that embraces continuous integration and Automation practices is critical. Collaborating on a high energy team that provides an opportunity for flexibility of responsibility, schedule and location.


    • Maintains a broad knowledge of emergent trends in software development platforms, tools, methodologies and their underlying principles
    • Develop and support automation of products
    • Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects
    • Apply and educate teams on SDLC and Agile software quality assurance and software testing concepts and practices to continuously assess the risks, condition and quality of products and releases
    • Review requirements, acceptance criteria, functional design, technical design, and use case design documents to determine testability across teams and products
    • Provides estimates for planning, development and execution of test efforts across teams and products
    • Create detailed test plans, and test strategies that clearly describe the test environment, setup, risks, scope, assumptions, dependencies, and strategy across teams and products
    • Request, document, setup and manage test data in a test environment
    • Perform functional (black box and white box), system and regression testing across web properties, web services, and electronic data interchange (EDI) services
    • Document and track defects, issues and enhancements to resolution using defect tracking tools
    • Perform root cause analysis and trends of defects in order to drive quality improvement
    • Be able to work effectively in a team setting – take direction, proactively seek out information and build productive working relationships onsite as well as remote
    • Mentor more junior members of the team
    • Seeks development opportunities above and beyond required training


    • BA/BS in Computer Science or related concentration or equivalent work experience
    • 4+ years Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) Quality Assurance experience and testing relational databases and reading/writing SQL
    • Experience in testing software in an Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environment
    • Experience with modern programming languages (C#, ASP.Net, etc..), .NET Framework 4.0+, HTML / CSS
    • Hands on experience creating, editing, XML for Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) testing and SOAP based services
    • Experience with testing messaging and event-driven systems through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services, such as Sterling Integrator, BizTalk, or Tibco
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

    Preferred Skills

    • Automated Testing Continuous Integration
    • Test Driven Development (TDD)
    • Experienced with Web/Windows based N-tier database applications
    • Healthcare domain knowledge desirable, specifically in the areas of Patient Accounting, HIM, Revenue Cycle and IT integration
